Transit9 is an operations, safety and workforce management platform designed for transport environments, including rail, light rail and bus networks.
Transit9 is built specifically for transport, not adapted from a generic system. That means everything is designed around the realities of operating complex networks. The strength of the platform is in its agility, the way different modules connect and integrate, and the level of visibility it gives across operations, safety and workforce management.
We work closely with operators and infrastructure teams to bring together permits, competency, events, depot operations and reporting into one place. The aim is to give teams better visibility, clearer governance and systems that reflect how transport networks actually operate day to day.
A lot of what we do is about replacing workarounds and disconnected tools with something more structured and joined up. As we’ve grown, that has taken us into new markets where those same challenges exist, and where there is a clear need for better operational control and insight.
We came on board quite early and recognised the potential straight away.
At the time, we were looking for a clearer way to understand the global transport landscape, not just opportunities, but how different systems and operators were structured. The move to include bus networks and mainline rail alongside light rail was a definite plus, as it better reflected how transport networks operate in reality.
We also supported some of the early innovation through Enterprise Ireland funding, which gave us the opportunity to engage more closely as the platform developed.
In the early days, it was more of a reference point. We used it to understand systems, projects and where activity was happening globally.
Now it is much more embedded in how we work. We use it to track live tenders, follow project developments and build a clearer picture of operators before engaging. It has moved from something we dipped into occasionally to something that actively supports our day-to-day planning and monitoring.
It has been great to see how it has developed over time into a more structured and genuinely useful tool.
The biggest benefit for us is clarity.
It saves time by reducing the need to pull information together from multiple sources, but more importantly it helps us focus on the right opportunities. That supports a more considered approach to growth rather than trying to cover everything.
The sponsorship side has also been valuable, giving Transit9 additional visibility within the platform and creating useful touchpoints through linked content.
From a practical point of view, it has become a genuinely useful tool for regional research.
With exportable reports and improved functionality, it is now much easier to identify the systems we want to engage with, understand who is moving where and when, and track how projects are developing. It is also much easier to find the detail that matters most to us, with confidence that the information is accurate, relevant and kept up to date.
As more operators and organisations become part of the system, the overall picture continues to improve. Many of our customers are already involved, and we are seeing more companies join and add value, which strengthens the platform further.
The addition of news articles and magazine content is also a nice touch, helping us stay connected to what is happening across a fast-moving industry.
We are proud to have been involved from an early stage and to see how it has developed into something that now plays a meaningful role in how we plan and engage with the market.
We have been really encouraged by how the platform has developed and are looking forward to seeing how it continues to evolve as new features and broader transport insights are introduced.
